COME BUILD THE FUTURE OF THE GAME WITH US
ShotTracker is looking for an Installation Lead to help bring our sports technology to life in practice facilities and arenas across the country.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and seeing a project through from start to finish. You’ll install and configure ShotTracker systems, work directly with customers and facility personnel, and help lead onsite installation crews.
We’re looking for someone with strong technical installation experience, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to grow into independently leading installation crews of contractors. If you enjoy a mix of technical challenges, travel, teamwork, and leadership, this could be a great fit.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
● Lead Installations: Lead and participate in the installation of ShotTracker systems in practice facilities, arenas, and other customer locations.
● Coordinate Crews: Organize daily installation activities, direct onsite team members and contractors, and develop the skills to independently lead installation crews.
● Install Technology: Mount and install equipment on catwalks, rafters, walls, and other facility structures while following installation plans and safety requirements.
● Configure Systems: Install and configure servers, switches, networking equipment, CAT6 cabling, fiber, and related system components.
● Test & Troubleshoot: Verify system functionality, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure installations meet ShotTracker’s quality standards.
● Conduct Site Surveys: Visit customer facilities to assess site conditions, evaluate equipment placement and infrastructure requirements, and document information needed for installation planning.
● Work With Customers: Coordinate with facility personnel, contractors, and internal teams to keep installations organized and on schedule.
● Prepare & Document: Review installation plans, prepare equipment and materials, update facility maps, and complete required installation documentation.
● Support the Team: Between installations, assist with equipment assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, inventory preparation, and other technical or facility projects at HQ.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
● Hands-on experience with low voltage cabling, including Category cable installation and RJ45 terminations.
● Experience in technical installation, field service, networking, AV systems, low voltage, or a related technical environment.
● Ability to organize work, provide direction to others, and help keep projects moving toward completion.
● Ability to read and follow installation plans, facility maps, technical documentation, and work instructions.
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
● Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and safe work practices.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, and teammates.
● Comfort working at heights, including on catwalks and rafters, and performing physical installation work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
● Experience operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, and similar equipment preferred. Must be willing and able to complete required lift operation training and obtain certification before operating this equipment.
● Proficiency with Linux-based systems, including Ubuntu, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Apple products and services.
TRAVEL & WORK MAINTENANCE
This position requires up to 60% travel to customer facilities throughout the country. Travel may include weekends, including Sundays when necessary to prepare for Monday installations.
Installation schedules may require working outside normal business hours based on facility access, customer needs, and project requirements.
When not traveling, you’ll work onsite at ShotTracker’s Lenexa headquarters, preparing for upcoming installations and supporting the Installations team.
