COME BUILD THE FUTURE OF THE GAME WITH US

ShotTracker is looking for a Software Engineer to help develop and enhance the applications that power our sports technology.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building intuitive, reliable applications, solving technical challenges, and working with a team that’s always looking for ways to improve. You’ll develop applications across Apple’s ecosystem, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac, while contributing to the functionality, performance, and overall user experience of ShotTracker’s products.

You’ll work closely with our Lead Software Engineer and cross-functional teams to turn ideas and requirements into effective technical solutions.

We’re looking for someone with strong Apple development fundamentals, technical curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning. You don’t need to be an expert in every technology we use, but you should be excited about building quality applications and expanding your capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build & Develop: Design, develop, test, and maintain applications across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS platforms.
  • Create Features: Turn product requirements and technical specifications into intuitive, reliable application features that enhance the user experience.
  • Develop Across Apple Platforms: Work with Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode, and related technologies to build and improve applications for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
  • Own Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, develop tests, and contribute to application quality and reliability.
  • Solve Problems: Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, resolve defects, and improve application performance and stability.
  • Monitor & Improve: Use development, monitoring, and analytics tools to identify issues, understand application behavior, and support continuous improvement.
  • Use AI Tools: Incorporate AI coding assistants and coding agents into development workflows to support coding, debugging, testing, and problem solving.
  • Collaborate: Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and other technical teams to plan, develop, and deliver application improvements.
  • Keep Improving: Explore new technologies, development practices, and tools that strengthen our applications and make development more efficient.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experience developing applications for Apple platforms, with proficiency appropriate to your background.
  • Knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode, with a solid foundation in Apple application development.
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, application architecture, and modern development practices.
  • Experience with Git-based version control and familiarity with tools such as Bitbucket and Jira.
  • Knowledge of application testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with user interface design principles and Apple’s platform-specific development guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and take ownership of assigned work.
  • Interest in learning new technologies, expanding development capabilities, and incorporating AI-assisted tools into your workflow.

TECHNOLOGIES YOU’LL WORK WITH

  • Apple Development: Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode, UIKit, AppKit, Structured Concurrency, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, The Composable Architecture, Swift Testing
  • Development Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Postman, cURL
  • Monitoring & Analytics: Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics
  • AI Development: AI coding assistants, coding agents, prompt engineering, and agentic development workflows
  • Bonus Experience: Android development using Kotlin, Android Studio, or Gradle

You don’t need to be an expert in every technology listed. Strong Apple development fundamentals are the foundation for this role. Prior macOS development experience is not required, but you should be comfortable contributing to Mac applications as your skills grow.
