Wichita State University Women’s Basketball Adopts ShotTracker’s Full Analytics and Video Suite

Shockers will implement Helix, Pulse, Scout, ShotTracker Go, GameSync and ShotTracker’s video editing platform across practices, games, scouting and postgame video workflows

Overland Park, KS. (October 12, 2026) – ShotTracker, the basketball analytics and video platform trusted across DI, today announced a partnership with Wichita State University Women’s Basketball. The partnership will see the program implement ShotTracker’s full technology stack – Helix, Pulse, Scout, ShotTracker Go, GameSync and ShotTracker’s video editing platform – to capture, analyze and act on performance data across every stage of the program.

Wichita State will use Helix in practice and Pulse during games, while Scout lets staff query the resulting data and film using natural language. GameSync and ShotTracker’s video editing platform automate how film is delivered and edited after each game, and ShotTracker Go provides a mobile platform to support player development outside of team practices.

“We’re excited about our partnership with ShotTracker,” Wichita State women’s basketball head coach Terry Nooner said. “It gives our staff and our players real information that we can use every day to get better. We want everything we do in our program to have a purpose, and having that data allows us to be more intentional with how we develop our players and prepare our team.”

Helix uses sensors embedded in the basketball and worn by players, along with an AI-powered camera system installed in the practice facility, to track player and ball movement in real time. The system generates 70+ advanced performance metrics, giving coaches detailed insights to inform player development, practice planning and pre-game preparation.

Pulse enables coaches and video coordinators to ingest live broadcast feeds during games, delivering real-time analytics and synchronized video directly to the bench. This allows coaches and team staff to quickly review plays, identify trends and make in-game adjustments with immediate access to both data and film.

Scout serves as the intelligence layer across the platform, allowing staff to query performance data and video using natural language or voice commands. Coaching staff can surface specific plays, analyze trends across their own team or opponents, and generate insights based on factors like lineup, play type or game situation to support scouting and game planning.

Following each game, GameSync automatically delivers multiple versions of game film, including the full broadcast, a trimmed live-play version and possession-by-possession data that integrates directly with ShotTracker’s AI-powered video editing platform. The technology also preloads film from each program’s next two to five opponents before practice begins, giving coaches and video staff immediate access to organized, commercial-free video that’s ready for editing, scouting and player review.

ShotTracker Go extends player development beyond team practice with a mobile platform that lets coaches assign workouts and players track their progress. It gives athletes a personalized dashboard to monitor their own stats and compete with teammates for added motivation.
