Radford University Men’s Basketball Partners with ShotTracker

Highlanders will implement Helix, Pulse, Scout, ShotTracker Go and ShotTracker’s video editing platform across practice, games, scouting and postgame video workflows

Overland Park, KS. (October 9, 2026) – ShotTracker, the basketball analytics and video platform trusted across DI, today announced a partnership with Radford University Men’s Basketball. The partnership will see the program implement ShotTracker’s Helix, Pulse and Scout technologies, along with ShotTracker Go and ShotTracker’s video editing platform, connecting practice tracking, live game analytics, scouting and video editing within a single system.

Radford will deploy Helix in practice to track player and ball movement, Pulse during games to deliver real-time analytics and video to the bench, and Scout to let staff query that data and film using natural language. ShotTracker’s video editing platform streamlines how that film gets edited and reviewed after each game, and ShotTracker Go provides a mobile platform to support player development outside of team practices.

“We are very excited to partner with ShotTracker in leveraging a data-driven approach across all aspects of our program,” said Radford University men’s basketball head coach Zach Chu. “Player tracking data has been slow to develop in college basketball, and ShotTracker’s tracking capabilities bring NBA-level access to game strategy analytics.

We are also very excited about the video product which has enhanced our ability to not only analyze film, but also teach. Our goal as a program is to apply analytics end-to-end, across player selection, development and strategy in order to build a compelling competitive advantage. We are excited to partner with ShotTracker as we continue to develop this model.”

Helix uses sensors embedded in the basketball and worn by players, along with an AI-powered camera system installed in the practice facility, to track player and ball movement in real time. The system generates 70+ advanced performance metrics, giving coaches detailed insights to inform player development, practice planning and pre-game preparation.

Pulse enables coaches and video coordinators to ingest live broadcast feeds during games, delivering real-time analytics and synchronized video directly to the bench. This allows coaches and team staff to quickly review plays, identify trends and make in-game adjustments with immediate access to both data and film.

Scout serves as the intelligence layer across the platform, allowing staff to query performance data and video using natural language or voice commands. Coaching staff can surface specific plays, analyze trends across their own team or opponents, and generate insights based on factors like lineup, play type or game situation to support scouting and game planning.

ShotTracker’s video editing platform streamlines video workflows by automating film breakdown, opponent video delivery and access to auto-tagged clips and integrated statistics. This allows coaches and players to seamlessly access organized game film, simplifying scouting workflows and accelerating game preparation.

ShotTracker Go extends player development beyond team practice with a mobile platform that lets coaches assign workouts and players track their progress. It gives athletes a personalized dashboard to monitor their own stats and compete with teammates for added motivation.
